Overview

In 1988, Bohemia Bay Yacht Harbour was born from the complete reconstruction of the Bohemia River Marina. Situated on the north shore of the Bohemia River, this state of the art facility now maintains year-round accommodations for over 300 boats.

A unique sheltered basin offers our slips protection from boat wakes and weather. As a result, your stay is practically worry-free. Moreover, our slips feature 125 or 240-volt individually metered electric, fresh water, cable TV, Wi-Fi and, in some cases, a winter de-icing system.

Open and Covered Slips

Bohemia Bay offers both open and covered slips. In particular, our marina enjoys a reputation for having the best covered slips on the Chesapeake Bay. Constructed with all metal roofs, our covered slips provide a 30-foot maximum clearance. This clearance allows for excellent ventilation. In addition, it provides an opportunity for any boat with a radar arch or tuna tower to take advantage of the exceptional protection a covered slip offers. Overall, we believe that this “open” construction makes these covered slips the brightest and most pleasant found anywhere.

Amenities

Featured amenities include a beautiful “resort-sized” swimming pool that overlooks the scenic Bohemia River as well as a “nettle-free” sandy beach. And, for your convenience, we have 24 tiled restrooms and showers along with laundry facilities. Picnic and recreational areas are located throughout our professionally landscaped grounds. Both gasoline and diesel fuel are available at our fuel dock alongside our pump-out stations. Our well-stocked marine parts and accessories store complements our marine services department. Finally, a water taxi assists anyone using one of our seasonal moorings.

In short, the design of Bohemia Bay satisfies the needs of today’s active boating families.

Environmentally Aware

Clean water and fresh air are two of the things boaters appreciate. Yet essential activities in and around every marina pose a threat to these natural resources. Similarly, many activities associated with daily living as well as commercial and agricultural operations negatively impact our environment. While Bohemia Bay cannot effect change to the latter, it has taken steps to mitigate the deleterious effects of the former.

Included among these are the spill prevention and response training taken by General Manager Ken Long and his staff. Additionally, Bohemia Bay offers single-stream recycling and maintains a stormwater pond and berm system to capture stormwater runoff including sediment and debris.

Through these steps and others, the Maryland Clean Marina Initiative, a program sponsored by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, recognizes Bohemia Bay as a Certified Maryland Clean Marina.

Condominium Marina with Rental Slips

Lastly, Bohemia Bay was the first marina around the northern Chesapeake Bay to offer condominium boat slips. Since condominium marinas have many unique characteristics, we compiled a list of frequently asked questions for you. Our answers should help you better understand condominium marinas and condominium slip ownership.

As a condominium marina, Bohemia Bay has a lot to offer boaters and boating families whether interested in buying a slip or renting a slip.

Leadership

A Board of Directors, comprised of condominium slip owners, establishes budgets and participates in decisions regarding the overall operation of the marina. Some of their decisions are reflected in our rules and regulations. We encourage both slip owners and renters to familiarize themselves with them.
